For the past one and half years, Shah Rukh Khan has not signed any film’s dotted lines, this after the debacle of Aanand L. Rai’s Zero also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Even though he has been associated with Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar, South director Atlee Kumar's next tentatively titled Sanki, Rajkumar Hirani's next directorial and Raj and DK’s comic action-thriller, nothing has been official as not a single confirmed reports of him signing any film has come out. Interestingly, a couple of days ago, SRK conducted #AskSRK on Twitter where he sort of confirmed his next project with Sanju director which obviously pumped up.
Moving on, speaking about SRK's movies, Saif Ali Khan shared his views on Shah Rukh’s career graph and why he thinks SRK is currently in a rather 'tricky' situation while having a conversation with India Today's E-Conclave. Respecting his incredible work, Saif feels the audience has made him 'synonymous' with a certain era and whenever King Khan tries to experiment with his roles or characters, he fails to do it because his fans associate him a certain personality which is not been seen onscreen.
He was quoted saying, "SRK, if he is finding a little bit of a tricky time on which film to do or how to be seen, I don't know I was thinking about it the other day. Maybe he is so strongly identified with a certain era and becoming the face of Bollywood, on many different platforms. So he has become synonymous with a certain era and when that era passes, you probably need to re-adjust. But he, like all of them, are amazing survivors"
Saif also referrers to all the other superstars including Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn as he added, "You can't write anybody off. There are good times, bad times all up and down and they have seen it all and there is a particular resilience to a '90s actor. It's just a question of finding that right project. Again, I hesitate to say that because they are my seniors and have achieved much more than me."
